Ensure high quality training standards across ranks of sea staff that meets all regulations requirements to operate company ship safely, effectively and efficiently.
Conducts simulator based ECDIS refresher training to joining seafarers (deck officers)
Arranges “ECDIS Competency Refresher Test” for all joining deck hands and follows up with further need based training on “ECDIS and Company’s ECDIS procedures in SMS”.
Ensure officers on board are trained to effectively lead and coach their subordinates.
Evaluate, procures and maintains training resources to allow effective and conducive training for seafarers.
Plan and develop circulars, bulletins related to safe operations of vessels.
